Health Insurance and Services

Should you fall ill or require non-emergency medical treatment, you can access Dalhousie Health Services, located in Howe Hall at 6230 Coburg Road, a short walk from the King’s campus. Services offered include routine medical exams, anonymous STI testing and sports medicine.

Canadian students must have a valid provincial health insurance card in order to access these services. International students are required to have a comprehensive medical plan to cover expenses. For information about your student health insurance plan, contact the Health Plan Coordinator in the King’s Student Union Office at ext. 217.

Illness and Sick Trays

Should you happen to fall ill or experience any health-related issues during the academic year, feel free to communicate with your Don about these issues. We will do our best to support and accommodate your needs. The Dons can also arrange for sick trays to be brought to you from the Dining Hall.
