Painting Stolen from King's Campus

July 28, 2010

Recently a painting was stolen from the Chaplain's Office at the University of King's College. The oil painting by Jane Bruce Robertson is a depiction of St. George's church burning. It features predominantly red and orange tones with a circular church on fire about to collapse and the dark figure of a man in the foreground. It is in a wooden frame and measures 41" x 36".

The owner of the painting will accept its return no questions asked, and will provide a $500 reward if desired. Please call 237-8109 or email jmlorenc@gmail.com if you have any information about the painting's whereabouts.

We would like to remind the King's community that it is in everyone's best interests to keep all doors and windows locked, particularly during after-hours.
